Del Oro got four touchdown passes from Bobby Heatherington and Brandon Monroe had more than 100 yards on the ground in a 60-20 win over Oakmont. It is the third time this year the Golden Eagles surpassed the 50 point mark. They are idle this week before starting league play.
2 Buhach Atwater 4-0 4
Buhach Colony was idle this past week. The Thunder return to action against Clovis East to close out non-league action on Friday.
3 Vacaville Vacaville 3-1 5
For the second straight week, Vacaville knocked off a NCP Top 20 squad in traveling to San Jose to beat Valley Christian 41-27. The Bulldogs got 212 yards and five rushing touchdowns from Melvin Mason as well as an efficient passing game from Coleman Christensen. Vacaville hosts Deer Valley on Friday in trying to score at least 29 points for the fifth straight game.
4 St. Mary's Stockton 2-2 6
St. Mary’s-Stockton had played a difficult non-league schedule with no let up last week against crosstown rival Lincoln-Stockton. In a 35-27 win over the Trojans, Jalen Ward had 213 yards and a touchdown on the ground while quarterback Bowe Merin looked sharp in throwing two touchdowns. The Rams will look to get above .500 against Lodi at the Grape Bowl on Friday.
5 Grant Sacramento 2-2 2
Grant was idle this past week. The Pacers return to action on Friday against Merced.
6 Folsom Folsom 3-1 3
Folsom was idle this past week. The Bulldogs return to action on Friday against Casa Roble.
7 Elk Grove Elk Grove 5-0 8
Robert Frazier had 198 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns in Elk Grove’s 23-7 win over Nevada Union to move into the NCP Top 20. Matt Nugent also had two sacks on defense for the Thundering Herd, which heads into the bye week with a 5-0 mark. They start league play in two weeks against Grant.
8 Paradise Paradise 4-0 7
Paradise was idle this past week. The Bobcats return to action on Friday against Chico.
9 Whitney Rocklin 3-1 9
Whitney bounced back well from its first loss of the year to defeat Christian Brothers 41-13 and improve to 3-1. Christian Daniels had more than 200 yards of total offense with two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown in the Saturday win. The Wildcats take on Woodcreek out of the SFL this Friday.
10 Foothill Palo Cedro 5-0 NR
Stock Rising: Tevin Slaton had 170 yards and four touchdowns as Foothill-Palo Cedro enters the Division II rankings with a 55-21 win over Anderson. It is the third time this year Slaton had exceeded 100 rushing yards. The Cougars are idle this coming week before taking on undefeated Enterprise.
