Contrasting styles and an all-out assault on the end zone.

That's the general theme heading into Round II of the Sac-Joaquin Section football playoffs, particularly when it comes to Vacaville-Folsom in Division II, a showdown of 10-1 juggernauts of Bulldogs mascots.

Both teams are averaging more than 50 points, and they do it in decidedly different manners. Vacaville lives by the run, averaging more than 400 yards on the ground.

Folsom is a spread-option marvel, headed by quarterback Dano Graves, who has passed for 2,644 yards, a 68 percent completion rate and 48 touchdowns. When he's not throwing, Graveshas run for 687 yards and 13 scores. These Bulldogs have won 10 in a row since a season-opening 49-14 setback to state No. 1 Grant. Graveshas thrown 47 touchdowns with one interception since the Grant contest.

Contain Graves, even a little, and anything can happen, Vacaville coach Mike Papadopoulossaid.

Vacaville, meanwhile, has won seven consecutive since being handled by state power Valley Christian of San Jose 48-7 in Week 4.

That loss came a week after Vacaville rushed for 483 yards in a 47-23 win over Granite Bay.

In the past five games, Vacaville has put up basketball-like scoring figures: 70, 69, 76, 76 and 77 points.
